By accessing or using Europe Social ("the Service"), operated via the eur.so domain and related services, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the Service.
Europe Social is civic infrastructure for European public discourse. Use of the platform is subject to these terms and our Community Guidelines.
You must be at least 13 years of age to use Europe Social. If you are under 16 and located in the European Union, you may need parental or guardian consent as required by applicable law. By using the Service, you represent that you meet these requirements.
You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account. You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.
Your Europe Social identity is portable via the AT Protocol. You own your identity and can migrate it to another compatible service at any time.
You retain ownership of all content you create and post on Europe Social. By posting content, you grant Europe Social a non-exclusive, worldwide license to display, distribute, and store your content as necessary to operate the Service.
Because Europe Social is built on the AT Protocol, your content is stored in your personal data repository and is portable. You can export or migrate your data at any time.

Europe Social is committed to storing all user data within the European Union. Our infrastructure is hosted on Hetzner servers in Germany. We do not transfer personal data outside the EU/EEA except as necessary for AT Protocol federation, and only in compliance with applicable data protection laws.

When interacting with accounts on other AT Protocol services, their terms of service may also apply to those interactions.
You may delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms or our Community Guidelines. In case of termination, you will be able to export your data in accordance with GDPR requirements.
Europe Social is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Europe Social shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages resulting from your use of or inability to use the Service.
Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable EU law, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the European Union and the member state in which Europe Social is incorporated. Disputes shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the competent courts of that member state, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer protection provisions of your country of residence.
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via the Service or by email. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
